Updated on 28th December, 2015 Remember how I had been talking about cysteine and hair color for the last 6 months? If you are really thinking of getting it done, I would suggest you to wait for the hair diary coming right across in few days. I am having second thoughts about the entire procedure now that I am oiling my hair again and have been taking care of it like I used to. But, I have to say that these chemical treatments did make me discover some fabulous products and this range is one of … [Read more...] about deFabulous Reviver Shampoo and Conditioner Product Review
Wow. We are two months to a brand new year and we will all be one more year older! I think with age people do come to appreciate life more. This year has been very enlightening in that way. And, I can proudly say I shall be entering my 30's. Now, I can relate to why people say 30's are very liberating. You appreciate yourself, your thinking changes and you become evolved more than ever! Anyways, coming back to the post, I did not write about how my hair did last month because by the time I was … [Read more...] about My Hair Diary – October 2015
So, I have already shared that I got my hair colored (though I have to say that the pic was blurred)! Let us see how my hair is doing after that. And, yes, you should definitely check out Drishyam movie if you have still not! I have not seen the regional version of it but of course such characters are just written for Ajay Devgan in hindi movies and he has nailed it again :) As usual, Tabu is a treat to watch! Cysteine Treatment So, it has been two months since my cysteine treatment. Okay, … [Read more...] about My Hair Diary – July 2015
Okay, I had wanted to keep this for the next instalment of My Hair Diary but it is too tempting to miss out so here goes! I finally got my hair color and I have the perfect red and I LOVEEEEEEEEE it :) So, I just have one good pic of my hair. As of now, I just could not find time to take the perfect pic for my hair. Anyways, Mr. P hates the hair but incidentally even my father did not hate the color entirely and I did get many many compliments for the color. And, that makes me happy. And, now, … [Read more...] about Does your hair color reflect you?
Since I hit my 30s, I've been noticing greys creeping up one by one. Maybe not 50 shades, but enough to be noticeable! Sadly, most of them turn up around the crown of my head and end up being very visible. Ever since I decided to grow out my hair, I've been trying to take care of it better and part of that was to stop using chemical dyes on it. I just got tired of the whole cycle of getting damaged and split ends, cutting it then wondering why I wasn't able to grow it out. So around 3-4 years … [Read more...] about How to use Henna and Indigo to naturally darken brown Hair?
Bahubali I know you might have read tons and tons about the movie by now but it is just too good to pass on without me mentioning about it. I have to say that I am in love with the movie. It is so larger-than-life and it is not the story but the portrayal of the characters. Finally, an Indian movie on par with Troy and Gladiator and what not! And, yes, I know many of its scenes are inspired from the above movies but who cares! They are damn good inspirations and the inspired is equally a … [Read more...] about My Hair Diary – June 2015
As anyone with naturally wavy or curly hair knows, once you stop trying to straighten and flat-iron it into submission, and decide to find a way to make it look like the beautiful bouncy curls you see in magazines and the internet, suddenly, horror of horrors, you discover that there are hardly any ‘curl-friendly’ products out there in our Indian market. Now, before you straight hairs turn away, this is something that could be great for your hair as well, in fact, for anyone with dry or … [Read more...] about DIY Leave-In Conditioner
The other day, I was shopping at Spar and saw some wonderful fresh basil and thyme and picked up a packet each. Unfortunately, when cooking for one, there’s only so much you can use. After making some pasta with basil and avocado sauce, a couple of other dishes and a toner with thyme, I was wondering what to do with the remainder while it was still fresh. It struck me that I could try making an infused oil with them along with other things I had at home. My goal was something that would … [Read more...] about Infused Herbal Oil to promote Hair Growth
We watched Dil Dhadakne Do yesterday night finally! And, I am absolutely in love with Priyanka Chopra. I had forgotten how amazing she can be on screen and she did do justice to her role. And, the chemistry between her and Ranveer Singh was just amazing! I wish I had a brother :D And, the extremely simple conversations and quirky dialogs made my day. And, the expressions are just to die for :D Btw, watch out for the dog :) On the other hand, Tanu weds Manu 2 was great as well but not this … [Read more...] about My Hair Diary – May 2015
Whaaat?! Bhindi? Why would anyone put that in their hair… In fact, it’s used by Rastafarians to make their dreadlocks and keep them healthy. Okra is one of numerous natural items that contain mucilage, which is the slimy stuff you must be familiar with when it’s cooked. Mucilage is good for the skin and hair, and even for your gut health. The reason I was even looking this into was because I’ve been trying to find a way to put less chemicals into my system. And I definitely see an improvement … [Read more...] about Okra (Bhindi) Hair Treatment and Conditioner
