There was a time when everyday you could find yet another online shopping website to indulge. That was the start of e-commerce in beauty segment. Slowly, a few websites became popular and a few faded away! One thing common about them was that they catered to Indian population and offered all the beauty products available at Health & Glow or NewU stores.
Luxe Beauty Products Available
All the websites which offered high end and luxe beauty products were international which levied heavy customs and you are never sure whether the products would be delivered or get lost on the way. Now, we have our very own Indian luxe beauty products website – ‘Aplava‘. They offer everything from luxury Indian products like TVAM and Just Herbs to international brands like REN and Dermalogica among others.
Beauty Profile Questionnaire
Another unique thing this website offers is a personalized beauty regime by giving you a small questionnaire which includes all your basic skin and hair type categorization. Accordingly, your skin and hair profile is created and products are recommended to you. The questionnaire is quite detailed and it mostly nails all the concerns. It would have been great if the questionnaire allows us to select multiple answers for a few questions.
See how detailed the questionnaire is. It is not satisfied with just dry skin. It is asking how exactly your skin dries up. Similarly, how your skin sweats is also one of the key factors in determining its regimen. I like this amount of attention to detail. Another great thing I liked is the product recommendation section.
‘The product recommendation section is divided into 3 categories – basic, intermediate and aggressive. The regime is divided into morning and evening. Basic includes only face wash and moisturizer. Intermediate adds toning step.
And, aggressive adds a whole lot of steps to the regime. See the number of tabs in the below screenshot!!
There are already quite a few amazing brands in their kitty but I would love to see more of them. I am missing Kiehl’s, L’Occitane, Estee Lauder, Shiesido and all such brands!!
What I got?
I got this Vichy hydration kit which I have been coveting since ages! Expect the reviews real soon.
A work in progress, this website could become the game changer for buying beauty products online for Indians if it is able to tie up with noted brands.
