I have started loving face toner after experiencing the misting spray of the Vichy thermal spa water which feels like you are on a vacation every time you use it! It is so soothing. Just to make sure I get most out of the product, I started using it in almost every way. Lets see if you can do the same!
How else can you use Face Toner?
Dilute Your Cleansing Milk
To get most out of your cleansing milk, I learned to dilute it with face toner or water. Dilution helps cleansing milk to spread evenly on skin and you end up using less product at the same time.
I love to massage the cleansing milk so that it removes every bit of impurity on the face. Interestingly, did you know that you could use cleansing milk to deep cleanse your face even when you are not wearing makeup or sunscreen.
In fact, deep cleansing should be a part of your evening skin care routine on all days but when you have been at home. Keeps skin clean and fresh all times!
Mixing the Powdered Face Cleansers
Not only your face packs but you can mix your face cleansers, the herbal ones which come in powdered form, and wash your face with it. I love to mix my toner, the vetiver water, with sunnipindi or besan.
Prepping the Skin for Treatment
If you love using face packs and scrubs out of the shower, best way is to dampen your skin with face toner and then follow up with the treatment. This works great with sheet masks especially.
If you feel your sheet masks have become a bit dry, spread them on your face and spray a generous quantity of toner and you are good to go.
You can also dilute thick face masks with toner. Or, better still, dampen cotton pads with chilled toner and make your own sheet mask including eye patches.
Before Skin Care Routine
You must apply moisturiser within 3 minutes of your shower.
Usually, following this adage is not feasible because of various reasons. To make sure your moisturiser sinks into your skin, dampen your skin with face toner and follow with your moisturiser. You can also double it up with a small massage session of 5 minutes to improve the blood circulation.
Dry Hand and Feet Treatment
This is my favourite. I love to spray a bit of face toner and moisturise my hands and feet last thing before sleeping. This keeps my hands and feet plump and soft in the morning.
